Plitvice Waterfalls

Plitvice Lake National Park, Croatia– Founded in 1949 this national park is the largest in Croatia and is situated in the Karst area of Croatia. 16 lakes can be seen from the surface and all are interconnected. They are separated by travertine, a limestone substance that acts as a barrier between the lakes.
